Due to Governor Whitmer Executive Order “Stay Home, Stay Safe” directive (Executive Order 2020-21 (COVID-19)) the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has suspended the ability to scan paper claims received by U.S. postal mail.

Providers can submit HIPAA 837P,837I or 837D electronic claims to CHAMPS through a billing agent, through a batch upload process, or through Direct Data Entry (DDE).
